Equal Play materials have been tested in Lithuania for the first time.

On 14 September in Kaunas, Nekser brought together three sports coaches — working with youth groups that include young people from migrant and refugee families — to test two Equal Play materials in Lithuanian:

1. Training Pill “Understanding Barriers to Participation” — short video, infographic and reflection sheet.
2. Learning Tool “Participant Barriers Mapping Tool” — checklist, barrier mapping table, action plan template and reflection sheet.

The coaches did not only read them. They worked through the checklist and the action plan using real cases from their own clubs, and discussed how they would use both materials with their groups.

How they rated the materials:
— Clarity 5/5
— Willingness to use 4.7/5
— Relevance 4.7/5

The part they valued most was the shift from “lack of motivation” to the real structural and social barriers behind it. Two coaches said it changed how they read specific drop-out cases in their own groups, and two had already passed the materials on to colleagues.

Their feedback now goes into the final version of the materials.
